GRADUATE STUDENT / INVESTIGADOR EN FORMACIÓN
The Functional Neuroimaging Laboratory (FNL) offers a predoctoral position for a period of 4 years, starting September 2008. The graduate student will join the laboratory at the Neuroscience department of CIMA to do research in Perfusion MRI using Arterial Spin Labeling Techniques, applied to Parkinson´s and Alzheimer´s disease. Currently, research at the FNL is focused on the application of functional imaging techniques to the study of neurodegenerative diseases, with the aims of improving diagnosis and developing new therapeutic strategies.
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Physics, Mathematics or Engineering.
GRADUATE STUDENT / INVESTIGADOR EN FORMACIÓN
The Gait Unit of the Neuroimaging Laboratory (NL) of the Center for Applied Medical Research offers a predoctoral position for a period of 4 years, starting September 2009. The graduate student will join the Neuroscience department of the CIMA (Center for Applied Medical Research) to do research in motor control and gait/posture applied to Parkinson’s Disease and related disorders using sophisticated recordings of gait and balance, as well as neurophysiological and functional neuroimage techniques. Currently, research at the NL is focused on the application of functional neuroimaging and neurophysiological techniques (TMS/rTMS) to the study of neurodegenerative diseases, with the aims of improving diagnosis and developing new therapeutic strategies.
The candidate should have an MD or Bachelor’s degree Psychology, Biology or Physiotherapy.
