Dr. Pau Pastor leads a neurogenetics research laboratory focused on genetic risk factors of Alzheimer disease, frontotemporal dementia and Parkinsonisms. The projects are specifically oriented to map new candidate genes (linkage studies) and genetic risk factors (association studies) related to familial and sporadic neurodegenerative disorders as well as with disease progression. We are also currently working on early diagnostic markers of neurodegenerative disorders at genomic and proteomic levels.
