Research Associate / Colaborador de investigación

A post-doctoral position is available to join the Laboratory of Biomarkers at the Oncology Division. The goal of our group is to understand the molecular alterations that are associated with lung carcinogenesis, in order to identify new strategies for lung cancer early detection and new molecular targeted therapies. To achieve this aim we have a double approach: basic studies to characterize molecular alterations in lung carcinogenesis, and translational studies to evaluate potential candidates suitable for clinical application in tumor samples and biologic fluids. We are interested in recruiting an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to work in the validation of genetic alterations identified in lung cancer patients. Validation will involve the functional characterization of the alterations in lung cancer cell lines, mouse models, and human specimens. Experience in molecular and cellular biology is required together with the ability of independently designing, developing and reporting scientific projects in an international and competitive field. Prior experience in cancer biology, mouse models or molecular targeted therapies will be also considered.

Research Associate / Colaborador de investigación

Se ofrecen dos contratos de trabajo a partir de Octubre de 2011 (para un investigador o un colaborador post-doctoral) para trabajar en la caracterización genética, molecular, histopatológica y funcional de varios modelos de ratones modificados genéticamente que generan linfomas de células B. Buscamos personas altamente motivadas y cualificadas, con un doctorado en alguna de las áreas del conocimiento biomédico, y con experiencia post-doctoral en un centro nacional o internacional de reconocido prestigio (al menos 3-5 años para investigador junior, ó 1 año para colaborador post-doctoral) reflejada en publicaciones en revistas científicas. Una de las plazas está pensada para un médico especialista en anatomía patológica, un histopatólogo o un veterinario con experiencia demostrada en el estudio histopatológico e inmunohistoquímico de tumores en ratón. Para la segunda plaza se requiere experiencia en la caracterización del desarrollo hematopoyético en ratón, dominio de técnicas de biología celular, citometría de flujo, aislamiento y cultivo de linfocitos tumorales y no tumorales.
